O'Brien Chop House , Co. Lismore

My family and I were on a visit to the countryside and spotted this lovely restaurant - owned by my dads childhood friend. So as we drive passed this old victorian pub, trying to find a parking space, I build up the urge to curl up on one of the old victorian leather  seats, stroll through the garden, smell the cherry blossom and indulge in a tall glass of O'Brien's famous elderflower fizz. Meeting some of the staff and owner Justin Green and enjoying homemade scones this is slowly becoming one of my favourite restaurants.

A Red Sky At Night, Is A Shepherd's Delight

Lately, the weather in Ireland has been delightful. The sun has been high in the sky, shining brightly and doesn't set till 7:30pm. The light breeze's, the bright blue hues  of the sky and the little white puffy clouds really make it feel like summer- even though it's April.

A red sky at night, is a shepherds delight. This saying has been the case for the past two weeks- two weeks of great weather. I hope these red skies at night continue as the morning results are very beneficial to us. Here are some pictures of some lovely sunsets all sourced from we love it

The Surfing Bug

Surfing.
I'm not too sure why the surfing bug has bitten me, I suppose my itch for surfing came about because, well, summer - the best season to surf- is slowly approaching. Summer time plans ? Surfing school. yes, my aim for surfing school is to:
  • learn how to surf
  • meet interesting people
  • learn the language of the surfers
  • be kissed by the sun and hugged by the waves

hoping one day these will be pictures of me on a surfboard...
